What the default view shows, what it holds back, and why an expired requirement is kept.
Opportunities is the market as your account is entitled to see it: every requirement pulled from the sources granted to you, in one list.
What the default view decides for you
- Live requirements only. Expired ones are kept rather than deleted, and shown with a badge whenever a search or a link reaches one — a match is never hidden on a technicality.
- Permanent roles are held back. A bench cannot be placed on direct headcount, so they would be noise on every page.
- Searching reaches everything, expired included. Browsing stays clean; searching stays complete.
C2C not stated is not a no
Most postings never say whether corp-to-corp is allowed. MetaOpus records that as not stated rather than guessing, because the two are different: a no is a closed door, and a silence is the set worth calling about.
IT confidence
Nothing is refused when it arrives. Every posting is classified with a confidence that it is IT work, and the filtering happens here, where you can see it and change your mind — rather than at ingestion, where a wrong call would be invisible.
From a posting to a person
Open a requirement to see who on your bench fits it, scored by the same matcher the consultant's own page uses, and submit from there. The score means the same thing everywhere in the product, which is what makes it worth comparing.
Frequently asked
Why can I not see a whole category of work?
Almost always sources rather than the market. Your account sees what it has been granted, and your plan decides which kinds of source those are. An administrator can see exactly what is granted.
Does looking at a requirement cost a credit?
No. Browsing, filtering and matching are free. A credit is spent only when a requirement's contact details are revealed.
Why is an expired requirement still here?
Because the next approach starts better informed. It is marked as expired wherever it appears, so nobody mistakes it for live work.
