Eligible, warning and blocked — and why a recipient is checked again at the moment of sending.

Checked again at send time

Every check runs again immediately before each message goes out. A recipient who was eligible this morning may not be by this afternoon, and the check that matters is the one at the moment of sending.

Suppression

An unsubscribe is the contact's own instruction and cannot be lifted from inside MetaOpus. A hard bounce can be, once the address has been corrected.

Replies stop the sequence

Any meaningful reply stops the follow-ups for that recipient. An automated nudge sent after somebody has already answered is the message that loses the relationship.

Why is a recipient checked again at send time?

Because eligibility changes. Somebody who was contactable this morning may have unsubscribed by the afternoon, and the only check that matters is the one immediately before the message leaves.

Can an unsubscribe be undone?

Not from inside MetaOpus. It is the contact's own instruction. A hard bounce is different — that can be cleared once the address itself has been corrected.

What stops a sequence?

Any meaningful reply. An automated nudge sent after somebody has already answered is the message that loses the relationship, so the follow-ups stop for that recipient.
